the arm letterpress studio

If you are curious where I print, check out The Arm, an amazing community
letterpress studio in Williamsburg. It was featured on the Boxcar Press blog last week.

I am totally in love with my early nineteen sixties smith-corona typewriter, a gift from my husband, Josh, for my birthday.

blair husain

One of my favorite clients, Blair Husain, featured in Quest magazine. Love it!

stainless steel + concrete

I took my daughter on the East River Ferry to visit Jane's Carousel in Dumbo, Brooklyn on Friday. It is so beautiful, I was just as happy to be there as Abby was. The contrast of the beautifully restored antique horses from Philadelphia contrasted by the ultra modern glass box it sits in (designed by Jean Nouvel), all right under the Brooklyn Bridge. Are you kidding me? Everything was so well thought out, right down to the stainless steel name of the carousel carved into the concrete out front.

bright summer wedding

Swirls of bright pink and summery green (the couple's color palette) adorn the invitation, response postcard and directions enclosure. The package is neatly tucked into a pink-lined envelope.

brooklyn beauty

I love our rooftop--and this spring was slow to come--so I am really excited our garden is going again. We just planted fresh herbs, tomatoes and strawberries to compliment our perrenials: echinacea, lavender, hops, blooming grasses, a little lilac tree, a very cool trailing evergreen, and a clematis that is blooming like crazy. i was looking for some seedling markers, just for fun, and came across another lovely Brooklyn product: Brooklyn Slate. Super cute, not too spendy, and packaged beautifully. (www.brooklynslate.com)

happy spring
