Sarah Mangerson has over 13 years professional graphic-design experience in New York City. A former Art Director at The New Yorker magazine and Designer at Mirabella magazine, she left publishing in late 2008, after the birth of her daughter, to work on custom projects with creative clients. In addition to magazine layouts, illustration editing, and special projects at The New Yorker, Sarah was part of the 2008 SPD Gold Medal-winning creative team for the redesign of newyorker.com, and served as the Creative Director of the website until her departure from the magazine in late 2008 (She also was on hand to help with the most another redesign in late 2010). Sarah has designed several books, most notably her collaboration with Michael Roberts and Grace Coddington for “The Snippy World of New Yorker Fashion Artist Michael Roberts,” printed by Steidl and published by 7L.

{SMD} has designed logos and image packages for several industry creatives, helping to develop just the right new or updated look for their businesses. Clients include Mimi Crawford Photography, Eliza Gran, Blair Husain Jewelry, Reverie Wraps, Me2Roo, Sarah Lowman Interiors, and 47 Ventures. She also creates multi-platform image branding that includes: logo, stationery, websites, social media, as well as marketing and promotional materials.
